Ecohydraulic Flume – IST
The flume (8.00 m long, 0.70 m wide and 0.80 high) is constructed on a steel frame with glass panels on both sides. It has a PVC false bottom where it is possible to attach structures of different shapes, sizes and material. The flume has an upstream reservoir, and the discharge and water level are controlled by a sluice gate upstream and by a flap gate downstream. Mesocosm – ISA
Mesocosm facility at the School of Agriculture campus (ULisbon). Ecohydraulic Flume – LNEC
Ecohydraulic channel installed at the Hydraulics and Environment Department of the National Laboratory for Civil Engineering (LNEC). It consists of a rectangular steel frame (10.0 m long × 1.0 m wide × 1.2 m high) with glass-viewing panels on sidewalls that allow free observation of fish within the flume. The facility includes an upstream and a downstream tank, separated from the flume by mesh panels, from where the water enters the flume and is recirculated.
